When we started this venture in September 2019, the only challenge before us was how to deliver the fish directly from the shore to the consumers without compromising on its quality. But as we fishermen who are traditionally in contact with the coast, we set up a system to know the information of each fish as soon as it reaches the shore, and when we get the information, at that time we buy the fish, and pack it in proper containers and deliver it to the homes immediately. 

QUALITY

Many corporate entities offer 100% freshness of fish to customers. But that is a hollow promise. This is because only fishermens can get 100% fresh fish on hand. 'mukkuvan means fishermen!' But we will go and offer you 99.9% freshness. This is because of the fact that there is a risk of losing that 0.1% during the journey to get the fish to home from shore. Given that we deliver 99.9% freshness to fish homes directly from the shore, how can corporates who buy fish from intermediaries and store it for long hours and then deliver the fish home give you 100% guarantee? That means it is a pure lie. We are mukkuvan. What we offer is freshness like truth.

SMALL BOAT FISH

We especially prefer small boat fish. Small boat fish means catch of that day. Fishing comes in many forms. One method is to catch fish in the bay for months, store them in boats and bring them ashore. Another is to spend weeks or days fishing at sea. But the traditional method followed in places like Vizhinjam is to catch the freshest fish within hours of leaving. We "Mukkuvan" buy a maximum of these fishes and deliver them to the customers.

Another thing we can offer you is to let us know if you like any fish or anything else you want to eat fresh.  It will notify you when the fish comes ashore and deliver it to you fresh.

We will be adding a system called "spot info" in the future.  This means that the customer will be notified as soon as the fish reaches the shore.  Within an hour, the fish will be ready to be delivered fresh to those who order it.
